Who I Am

A Developer Who Understands The Business Behind The Code.

I've spent more than two decades working hands-on with web technology. What began with websites and custom development grew into eCommerce, marketing technology, analytics, CRM systems, infrastructure and technical leadership.

That breadth matters because website problems rarely stay inside the website. Checkout affects advertising. Tracking affects decision making. Integrations affect operations. Performance affects both customers and conversion.

You do not need to translate your business into developer language before talking to me. Tell me what you are trying to accomplish. Figuring out the technical path is part of what I do.

How I Can Help

From What Your Customer Sees To What Happens Behind The Scenes.

My skill set crosses the boundaries that often separate designers, developers, marketers and technical teams.

Understand The Problem Before Choosing The Technology.

Complex systems become easier to manage when they are built in deliberate stages.

Where I Add Value

I Am Most Useful When The Problem Crosses More Than One System.

Those are the situations where understanding the business and the technology together starts to matter.

A conversion problem may actually be tracking. A reporting problem may be an integration. An expensive platform may only exist because nobody has built the smaller custom tool the business actually needs.

Examples Of My Work

The Best Way To Explain What I Do Is To Show What I've Built.

Experience At Scale

I've Worked Where Small Technical Decisions Can Have Large Business Consequences.

Most recently, I owned much of the technical stack behind a rapidly scaling direct-response eCommerce operation.

My responsibilities crossed architecture, checkout systems, CRM integrations, tracking, servers, APIs, troubleshooting and technical strategy while working directly with ownership, marketers, vendors and operations.

The numbers provide context for the scale of systems I am comfortable working with. They are not promises of what any individual project will produce.

Work With Me

You Don't Need To Know Exactly What Needs To Be Built.

You may already have technical specifications. You may only know that something is broken, inefficient or holding the business back.

Either is a reasonable place to start. Tell me what you are trying to accomplish and I can help determine what the right solution looks like.
